   The service is very snobby and the portions don't go with the price. Bayhaven or Wheathervane is a better bang for your buck. Also, the staff is more friendly.

   The Black Horse Tavern is the only place around that lets you enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with gourmet food. It has choices for all budgets and has a full bar with great options. Whether you’re enjoying a romantic dinner date, or sipping mimosas with friends at Sunday brunch, you cannot go wrong at the black horse.

   We stayed in Bridgton, ME for 10 days and planned to eat at a different restaurant every night of our stay. We ended up eating at the Tavern for 3 of our dinners. We had to go back. All dinners were excellent! Especially the fried scallops! They were lightly breaded, sweet, and just melt in your mouth. Cozy and clean atmosphere. Service was the way we like it. Attentive,efficient, and friendly.
