User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsVery disappointed as this place came highly recommended. Service was awful, we were seated "outside" in a tent right beside the heater, which threw off so much heat our feet felt like they were burning, when we mentioned it to one of the wait staff, they turned it off then the "manager" came out and told us the heater was for the entire room and that we couldn't just turn it off, like we had made that decision and turned it off without asking. Not to mention that the wait staff kept asking people in this area if they could "scoot in" so they could get around. Obviously you have too many tables in a confined area if you have to do this to serve your customers. The clam chowder had no flavor and the salads were nothing special. The crowning blow was after being told not only could we not have individual checks, it was up to us to figure it out and leave the correct total as she washed her hands of the bill and basically slid the check back onto the table and walked away. Would never give this place a second try.

Best Lobster in Maine. The Clam Chowder was incredible. If you are visiting Kennenbunkport you must go to Mabel's. Friendly and Fast service. The BEST.

Excellent Food, Excellent Value: This was recommended to us by the inn we were staying at (Captain Fairfield - also GREAT!). Tons of food for the price and very fresh. Great pie to boot!

Yes, thanks I won't be going there for my fall seafood dinner... have seen the ads on TV and thought we'd give it a try but will head to Ken's at OOB or Linda Beans @ Village Mall in Freeport instead. Too bad you had such a disappointing meal and the service sounds inexcusable for such an established eatery. Guess just George Bush and family get good service....
