Went here last summer and lets just say to be nice it was terrible. We made tenting reservations for one week with water and electricity hookups, when we got there the site that was given to us had nothing on it (water/elec) so when we went to see what was going on, our reservation showed it was for a site with hook-ups so to "fix" it they decided that we could move around the campground 5 times over the course of 7 days. We got there on a sat and was supposed to stay until the following sat and ended up leaving on thursday because of the stress of having to move our tent around so much it was not relaxing in any way like a vacation should be. The staff there were not helpful at all, they were treating us like we were the ones that had done something wrong (regarding the reservations) and couldn't understand why we were so upset. They did absolutely nothing to make up for the mix up. I do not recommend this place to people that want to camp in a tent. There was one employee that worked there that we ended up next door to that was extremely nice. She apologized for the inconvenience and was just really nice. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation in a tent, look somewhere else!
Seasonal Campers: We have a seasonal site at Wild Acres and think think park is the best.
close to the beach, close to the highway, and a great clean park.
Sorry to hear about the other's problems but whenever we've discussed issues with the park management, they have always been most helpful and friendly.
Warning! "Lost" Reservations: After driving 5 hours from New Hampshire to Saco, our anxious family went to Wild Acres, just to find our reservation and all of our information had been "lost". We were heartbroken, and with no help from Wild Acres to rectify the situation. Thank goodness for the Saco KOA. Without a reservation, they worked with us to find a site to stay the night. They took us in in a heartbeat, and we had a wonderful time! They were so kind! We ended up staying for an entire week and a half! KOA of Saco: 5 stars, Wild Acres: 0.
