User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsMy husband and I have been snowbirds for the past 3 years. We come home to Maine every summer and when we have to travel to visit friends/family we board our precious little angel Dolly (poodle) who absolutely adores the staff and all the wonderful accommodations the kennel has to offer. She is on a special diet and takes medication every six hours which is not of any inconvenience for the Suntar's staff. They take such wonderful care of our little baby that we have absolutely not a single worry about leaving her in such gentle and caring hands! The kennel is always sparkling clean and the staff is always smiling every time we stop in. The prices are unbeatable and the quality of grooming is impecable, they truly listen to what our expectations are when it comes to pampering our Dolly. We only board at Suntar's and would never consider leaving her anywhere else!

I have boarded my puggle Pearl at Suntar's on multiple occasions and have always been more than satisfied by their service and facility. The facility is large, pet friendly and extremely clean. As an earlier poster said, I would not leave the care of my animals to just anyone and have nothing but trust for the owners. My dog comes home everytime in the same condition and spirits that I left her.
More than that though, as anyone who has an animal knows, they are the best judge of character and Pearl gets excited everytime we pull up to Suntar's. She loves going there which is the most comforting aspect. She has stayed there for both weekend and week long stays and has received great care. -

I recently boarded my dog at Suntar's Kennels and I was not happy. My dog was hurt and limping when I picked her up. I was vacationing nearby and was not happy that I didn't receive a phone call. My dog was very jumpy for several days after picking her up and she even growled at me twice when I pet her behind the ears. This is very unusual behavior for her. We have had her since she was a puppy and she has never been mean or jumpy. I wonder at this strange behavior from her. The people running the kennel seemed nice enough so I wasn't worried but upon picking her up I would not board her there again.
