As an old guard music person and traveler to music events and clubs here and abroad, The Asylum is a great venue. The room is large enough and setup to provide the best acoustics for the bands - the sound man on top of things. They have great access and exits in case there was a problem (an important thing in a club with large crowds).

Perhaps a bit more seating & tables would be my wish for the future (but then that makes it harder to negotiate the room too and I realize that).

My first event there will not be my last since I know that I will take-in my fill of the music. The drinks were not* watered down and the staff is very friendly. They have a very professional and well trained security staff who know how to let the crowd have fun, be there - yet not be seen. What more can you ask for.

The food menu is basic but well done and the Sports bar has everything you could want or need. You are well taken care of - but not "bothered" by the staff.

A very comfortable venue that - as a music/event venue - is just wonderful.

FUN!: I went to The Asylum to attend an all-age show put on by WCYY. They kept it under control so nobody got hurt or anything during the moshing =) The people were great and the atmosphere was fun and exciting. I would definitly come back! (especially if I was of-age) haha
