User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsBest Bagel in the World: If you think H&H or New York bagels are really the world's best bagels, this tiny bake shop in teeny-tiny Bethel, Maine, has you needing to make a trip. These are by far the best bagels I've ever had. (And I've had plenty of bagels.) They're crunchy and yeasty and dense. They say New York has the best bagels because of the minerals in the water. Well, maybe it's minerals in the water in Bethel, Maine, or maybe this baker has got one heck of a recipe. And the bagels are boiled and baked, like all great bagels should be. I may have to figure out a way to Fedex them.
