amazing place to go at all hours of the day and night
I love Dysart's! Clean, friendly waitresses, large selection on the menu. No, it's not fine dining, but home cooking at it's best. The pies are soooo good! I especially love the homemade coconut and banana cream pies! Love the homemade molassas toast! Breakfast is served round the clock, and yes, makes it the perfect spot to hit after a night out. They can be a little on the pricey side at times, but I will still frequent there.
Okay - Dysarts IS a truck stop. Not a fancy restauraunt. It's not a place to go for culinary excitement. This is where you go at 2 am to soak up residual alcohol with some of thier truck stop food. Being that there are pretty much NO 24 hour diners in Maine - this is as good as it gets. The one thing that brings all the people I know in Bangor back to Dysarts is THE PIE. Dysart's deserts are AWESOME. The food is not bad, just diner food, what do you expect from a truck stop? The staff? indifferent like most diners. The usual. Go get some blueberry pie with ice cream, now!
