We dined here several years ago and found the place terrific. We tried it again in September 2009 and were very dissapointed. It is under new management and now very overpriced for just ok food. The lobster club and roll are about 10 dollars more than the places in BoothBay Harbor. So, no need to drive the distance here just to overpay for your food. They also charge for ice tea refills. I can't remember anyone else doing that. Stay away!

Yes, there are new owners. Give it a try, but don't expect the same things you use to love.

I have always had excellent meals at Lobsterman's and have always sent visitors there until this year. I had dinner there last night and sent over 20 others from our business function and I was so embarassed. The food was average -not like it used to be, and the portions were rediculous. I ordered scallops wrapped in bacon for an appetizer and the plate had mostly salad on it?? There were 3 scallops! the price was $12 I think?? Crab cake appetizer came with a salad on the plate and 2 little cakes... I will never go there again -must be new owners or something?
There are much better places now in the area.
