    Fresh Seafood, Great Chef: I'm a local, and I've got to say that this restaurant is hands-down the best place for seafood for miles around.

    If you want to see what fried haddock, clams, shrimp, or scallops can taste like when a chef hones and perfects his recipes, try the Lobster Pot. And oh yeah, they sure know how to cook a lobster, too.

    The service is well above average. The decor is simple, but clean and tidy.

    Too bad the Lobster Pot is only open seasonally (summer season, mostly). If you're a local, you've already been there. If you're visiting the Ellsworth area, make sure you eat there at least once!

    A Real Find: We stumbled across this restaurant last summer when we were passing through Ellsworth. It seemed popular with the locals - always a good sign. There was a wait for a table, but it was a pleasure as we sat on the lawn with our glasses of wine and enjoyed the view of the river. And the food was worth the wait!
