User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsWhat a shame this lovely place has gone downhill very quickly. We have been coming here the past two years while our daughter attends college in Bennington. The hostess and waitresses are loud, rude and unprofessional. The atmosphere is unappealing, the front dining room is sparse with worn wooden tables and chairs that could use a good cleaning and polishing. I am sure I smelled urine on my chair, however the chair was dry, it must have soaked into the wooden chair. YUCK! The food is fair and not worth the prices. If the place was simply a bar it would be okay, but to pass itself off as a fine eating establishment, forget it! Too bad it has been allowed to deteriorate, the general manager and owner need to call a staff meeting to get the place ship shape before it is too late. Not clean, rude, obnoxious staff, so so food, high prices, do yourself a favor and drive past Mulligan's and head to The Equinox hotel for a satisfying experience. This is a prime location and a new owner would certainly turn this place around.
User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsI am now giving up - the waitstaff is always unpleasant. The last time I ordered the filet thinking great deal for $18 bucks - sent it back when I cut into it and found tons of fat. I thought filets weren't fatty. Ordered the burger instead MR came out well done with ice cold french fries. Won't go into any more details - I loved the place 18 years ago - wish things hadn't changed.
User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsMulligan's is a great place to have your favourite drink, but the service is not the best. I have had 2 dinners there, and both of them were a bad experience. Once they burned the mushroom of my burger, and the second time they burned the vegetables of my fajitas.
And when i was there (for the second time), the guy at the entrance, did not even great us, we sat down at a table, which was reserved (we did not know about it) and the manager was unpolite, explaining to us the rules of the tavern.
