The Wednesday night Mexican menu is great. The pub food, like burgers, soups and salads are excellent. Coors Lightdrafts are only $2. My only complaint is that sometimes the place is understaffed.
Just so you have another opinion...: Our party of 7 stopped in after reading the review. This was our half-way stop on our way to the Weston Playhouse. We wanted a family style restaurant for a quick supper before the show....Quick? Riiiiight...The service was extremely slow; the menu much more limited that we expected, and appetizers were brought with the meals. The food was mediocre- we would have been more satisfied with McDonald's down the road. Luckily, the dart boards entertained the kids during the 45 minute wait for our meals (salads and burgers...we were the only diners and there right when the doors opened!) The bathroom is another story, but enough bashing for now. Probably an acceptable place for a drink or three, but we won't return for a meal. Lesson learned: Call the Playhouse next time, and have them recommend a restaurant.
If you like relaxed...: If you are looking for a relaxed place to go and have a couple of drinks and dinner with the family, then you really need to look no further, Penelopes is upstairs and mckinleys is down stairs the bar is a nice all wood construction with multiple tvs to watch the game or race on quiet jazz music tends to gently fill the air and the lighting ambience that you would typically find in a five star restayrant. The prices are fair and affordable and the wait staff are friendly and charismatic, when they take longer than normal they do everything possible to make it up to you. So if your looking for the place to take that special someone, the family, or just some friends for a night out then look no further than Penelopes restaurant and Mckinleys pub
