Not impressed with their "wood fire" pizza. When I think wood fire I think fresh, thin crust with local ingredients with interesting fresh toppings and sauces. Was really surprised when pizza arrived with canned mushrooms and your basic canned black olives on a crust that tasted of dough 5 days old. (Fresh mushrooms and kalamata olives and better cheese would have redeemed it to 'good' status.) They do not offer made-to-order pizza. The wings are good - tasty barbecue sauce. I'd go back, but just stick to the barbecue items or specials of the day. Nice beer selection. Atmosphere - open and airy, some sort of movie or entertainment type motif, lot of kids there.
This local mainstay is always busy and the reason is that it has a great atmosphere, incredible memorabilia, very good food and consistent service. "Laney", a retired schoolteacher, is no slouch when it comes to consistency and service. She "cracks the whip" with her staff and it shows in the way they perform. All of her servers are friendly, fast and efficient. A five star for service! The food is very good however the ribs may sometimes be a bit too tough or over "slathered" with sauce. The small pizzas are excellent as is the red cabbage cole slaw. Give Laney's a try particulalry if you have kids.
