Awful! Halvorsen's simply lives on its location. It has great jazz and a great courtyard, but DO NOT go there for the food! The menu is old and tired as must be the cook because the food is simply bland and poorly served. It is too bad because this is a great spot. Seems like the owner must just be in a lazy rut. Go there if you like Thursday night jazz or a drink in the courtyard in the summer, but do not eat there! Also be forewarned: the interior has that lovely ammonia/bleach/moldy bar rag/urinal smell. It does not do wonders for the appetite. I am sorry to write this as I really used to like this place, but it has gone downhill through neglect. Hoping for a change!
