    When I moved to VT about 9 years ago a number of people I ran into boasted about the quality of Dell's food and service. After a few years of missing opportunities to dine there I finally broke down and took my children (4 and 2) to get good traditional Italian-American fare. The service was excellent and it was definitely a family friendly restaurant. The food, however, was just terrible. How can someone make a meatball taste awful? How can someone make such a bland ragu? For the first time in my life I was tempted to go into a restaurant's kitchen to inquire with the cook about how the food was prepared. I really wish the food was good, as I wanted to find an affordable and family friendly Italian place. I guess I will just stick to my own recipes for this type of cuisine.

    Down Town Locale: Del’s offers friendly staff, good cooks, fast service, excellent food and a terrific atmosphere. This little restaurant is nestled right in the heart of down town Barre and is walking distance to everything. You can literally go to the bank, catch a movie, walk around town, do a little shopping and have a nice meal. A place you will definitely want to visit again and again. Reasonable to moderate pricing.
