    I'm from Stowe, and have two young kids. The Malt Shop is their favorite place in town, and unlike most kid-friendly places I love it too. The food is straightforward, but good. Everything I've had there (burgers, cheesesteak, broiled chicken sandwich, chili) is solid, and both the fries and onion rings are outstanding. Shakes are great, too. Service is reasonably good, staff is friendly, and atmosphere is laid back and fun. Highly recommended.

    Great atmosphere, my wife and I stop here every time we visit Stowe. The staff is very friendly and the food is pretty good. My wife recommends the egg creams. Will be stopping here this weekend for the 4th time.

    A great great place: We thought the food was very good, especially considering its price, which is relatively less expensive than anything else in Stowe. The burgers and the fries especially were great. The atmosphere, 1950s ambiance, was lots of fun, and the kids loved it. If you do, definitely order a frappe (milkshake). I would recommend this place to anyone
