okay... i'll be the satisfied customer who is not only delighted with the service, quality, attention to detail and care that Wildflower Designs provided for our wedding, but also send kudos to wayne and alan there for "over and above" level of professionalism when i realized that our wedding dinner table (a huge square table for 30) looked a little spare just hours before the event. during a holiday weekend, they quickly devised a plan to "fill out" not just the flowers we'd ordered, but also the table design, with beautifully and carefully strewn rose petals, low, glowing bowls of floating candles and roses, and taller glass cylinders with the same floating candles and river rocks in the base. the effect of all this was fantastic, and at a better than fair price. these guys know their business, and if they don't kiss other customers shoes, so be it. i just asked them to do what they do, and my wedding guests and i were all wow'd when we entered the reception room and saw their work on my table. i recommend Wildflower Designs whole-heartedly.
Steer clear. One of the owners is very nice, but the other is downright rude. We formed a proposal with them for our wedding and were expecting to form a contract the correct way - we would receive the contract, review it, and send it back signed with a deposit to hold the date. I called them to ask for a copy of the contract so I could sign it and send it back with a deposit, but they wanted me to send the deposit first with no contract. I insisted that I needed the contract first to protect myself and make sure I received the flowers I wanted for my wedding, but they would only send a vague list of flower arrangements they agreed to do, without details about the arrangements or an itemized price list. I chose to take my business elsewhere.
You'd think you'd get good service in a resort town -- NOT SO!
We live in the area of Stowe and my daughter stopped by to purchase a gift for friends out of the country. We had been there before and found the tall owner to be rather arrogant. But, my daughter picked out a wine opener, asked the NICE partner if she could bring it back if TSA said NO to taking it on an airplane, and left.
She brought it back when she found it could not be taken on an airplane, along with the receipt. The arrogant owner told her that even with the receipt and the product unopened, his policy was NO REFUNDS - ALL SALES ARE FINAL! When she asked why she had not been told before, he pointed at a small sign behind and to the left of the service counter -- hidden by other gifty items on the counter. She protested that everything was way too expensive to find anything else and he retorted, "Just buy a candle and give it to them!" She said that she had already found a candle in Stowe for about half his prices and just wanted her money back -- he refused.
It is amazing that a business today can stay afloat with being rude to customers and not standing behind their promises and sales!
