User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsOkay, lets put it nicely - Hoagies is exactly what its name says - it is a sandwich shop that has extended its menu to include other food.
You best bet when going here is a sandwich. If you want lunch and dinner for one day, order a sandwich wrap. When cut in half, it can feed you for 2 meals. The portions are very good here with prices to match.
The place gets 4 stars for the portions and the prices.-

We live in Maine, but are originally from Newport. Hoagie's is a "must" when we are home! They have the best pizza, and are only sorry they have not expanded east! Come on folks, it's time to franchise!

Hoagies has 3 locations - Derby, Newport and Essex. Personally, the Newport location is my favorite. As the other reviewers have said, the food is terrific. Visit http://www.vermonter.com for more info about the Newport area and Northeast kingdom.
