Great place to hang out if your a teenager with friends, and also perfect for family. Definitly recommend that if you are a resident of Connecticut get a season pass, it costs about $70 which pays for itself if you use it twice. I go here all the time with friends, probably around 8 times a summer. Free soda is awesome! I also suggest going here in october when they run the haunted graveyard. This attraction is great particularly for children who are bewteen ages 8-15, any younger it will probably be too scary, any older you probably won't be scared, and if you've already gone one year, it's not worth it going again b/c almost nothing changes. I personally love to go on October nights just for the atmosphere, there are side shows like a guy juggling fire and magic shows, plus the staff gets together and tries to scare you at random moments in the park. Plus the place is full of fog from fog machines and because it is cool at night it's very comfortable whether. The only real negative thing I would have to say is that if you are a big thrill seeker Lake Compounce doesn't have too much. It's got one loop roller coaster, a ride called downtime (pretty scary in my opinion), and of course boulder dash which is not scary at all but tons of fun because it goes soooo fast. I also suggest going on thunder and lighting which is the parks newest attraction. Also if your a history buff Lake Compounce has the oldest wooden roller coaster in the U.S...maybe the world, I'm not sure, but it was the parks big attraction when it was built in the 1890's. Also for any skee ball champions such as myself you could win a $50 gas card if you score 600 pts...I was able to do it however DO NOT get addicted.

this was the best theme park i have ever been to. the lines for the rides are reasonable the longest i waited was an half an hour but that was for the boulder bash. this roller coaster was voted the best wooden roller coaster in the world. free soda all day. great lunch prices. water park was filled with kids but yet the lines were pretty short. i would go to this theme park every day if i could. there was everything i wanted to do that day and more. i would pick this theme park over others any day it wasn't huge so my feet didn't start hurting, but there was still like 50 rides there. kiddie rides, teen rides, and even adult rides. every thing i could have asked for. so go to the lake for your next family outing. you won't regret it for even a second. bye i'm going to the lake.

Just got back from a great day!: Our plans for a fun day elsewhere were canceled, so at the last minute we decided to go to this park today. What a pleasant surprise! We have a 3 yr old boy who had a blast in the water park, loved all the kiddie rides, loved all the free soda. My husband and I had great fun also, but overall our biggest impression was how clean and beautifully landscaped the park was. Every employee we encountered was extraordinarily friendly, helpful, and polite. The food prices were very reasonable, ($3.25 for a burger for example) The admission price is also reasonable considering what we've spent elsewhere. Only complaint of the day was the Wild Cat was temporarily down. We'll be back asap.
