DJ's is a great place.
We've been taking our bichon there for years and he gets a great grooming, and we get reports if he has a sore or something we haven't seen. Also great food and toys, etc. The person who said the place was grungy with bad merchandise doesn't know what she's talking about; must have wondered into another shop. Highly recommended.

I just read the last review when looking up their telephone number and felt that I had to write my own. First let me tell you that I own 3 dogs and have been going to DJ's for approximately 8 years. My dogs always come back happy and well taken care of. They have long hair and I sometimes let it go for a month or so and I have never been disappointed. I have been to other places which have never been so consistant. They have always taken their time and have been wonderful. Kim

I made an appointment at DJ's for my two puppies (aged 6 months) and specifically asked them to clean out my toy poodle's ears, as there was a lot of hair growing inside and waxy build-up. Four hours after they were dropped off I checked my dog's ears and they had not been touched. When I told the groomer her ears were still full, she said she didn't clean them because she didn't want to traumatize her.
The main reason for making the appointment was to get her ears cleaned as they were causing her a great deal of discomfort. (i.e- scratching, whining, shaking head.)

In addition to her total neglect of what I requested her to do, she was extremely rude. The first thing she said to me was, "How old are they?"
I said 6 months, and she snottily replied, "Oh well that explains it. They need to learn how to stay still. The white one was better but not by much."

My "white" puppy leaped into my arms when I arrived seemingly desperate to escape the place.

I will NEVER take my dogs to this place again. I was not even impressed with the overall appearance of the store; everything looked grungy and the pet supplies they sold didn't look good enough to be on the shelves.

The first time my puppies were ever groomed (At a different place) the groomer said they were "exceptional" which just goes to show you it all depends on the professionalism of the person doing the job.
