After going over the final figures for trading in my car and purchasing one of theirs, I made my $500 deposit over the phone. I drove 3 hours (from upstate NY) to the dealership with the all the paperwork they needed me to bring, which included the title to my car, and a certified check for $21,000 (which was to include tax, title, and fees). The manager on duty (the owners son) then wanted nearly $2,000 more than I was quoted, and said it was because my trade was worth $1,200 less than he had thought. Although I had given them the exact condition of my car, and they agreed it was the condition I had told them over the phone, they were still not willing to make a deal, or explain why a $1,200 difference in trade = $2,000 increased price- other than saying "maybe we computed the tax wrong."
I wouldn't doubt they calculated the tax wrong, since both times he brought me the numbers off his computer there was always some fee or charge in there that he agree shouldn't apply. Again, this is the actual owners son unable to bring correct figures after I spent countless hours getting my paperwork in order and driving to the dealership.
Since I had driven 3 hours and spend nearly 3 hours at their dealership, I even offered to pay $500 more than the amount we had agreed upon when I put my deposit just so I could make a deal and start my trip back home. The owner was very arrogant, and even though he agreed I had done everything I could have on my part, he was unwilling to take anything under an additional $1,000 over the previously agreed upon amount.
I am absolutely disgusted with the way this dealership does business, and I find the fact they say they are #1 in customer service a bad joke. These are the facts, you decide for yourself...
good service dept: i have never bought a car here but i discovered their service dept after buying a used gmc a couple years ago. so far they have been very decent to work with. reasonable prices (for a dealership anyway), the valet parking is a nice touch, and they have pretty easily diagnosed problems that the garage that i used to get the vehicle serviced at missed. so far, so good.
