I probably had the very worst restaurant experience here that I've ever had.
My husband and I entered the restaurant at approx. 1pm on a Saturday. The place was about 1/4 full, many open tables, but we had to wait about 25 minutes to be seated (which was not a problem at all).
Our waitress took about 15 minutes to even get to our table and give us menus and water. She took about another 20 minutes to come back and take our food order. Takes our food orders without asking if we'd like anything to drink, and begins to walk away. We call her back, and tell her we'd like 2 coffees.
We wait. And wait. About 20 minutes later, our water glasses are empty, we still haven't received our coffees, no waitress in site. I had to stand up and look around in order for her to see me and come over. She tells us that she had to put another pot of coffee on, she'll be back in a minute. Waitress again disappears. I see other waitresses going to the coffee urns and getting their customers coffees, but our waitress remains nowhere to be found. Finally, after waiting at the table for about 45 minutes, and still not even being served so much as a cup of coffee, we walked out. We informed the hostess to cancel our order, as we hadn't been served anything. And the funny thing is, as soon as we put our jackets on and started heading for the door....BAM! there's the waitress. I heard her loudly wailing to the hostess as we walked out that she'd already put our food orders in. That's wonderful, but in 45 minutes time, you can't even pour two lousy cups of coffee???
I'd say that this place has very, VERY poorly trained employees. It wasn't the restaurant's fault per se, but we got the worst waitress in the history of mankind. They really need to supervise their help a little bit better, because I can easily see them losing a lot of customers over this one dingbat alone.
We went to 10 Clams instead, were seated immediately, and our food was on our table in less than 15 minutes.
How many ways can fish be prepared? Loads if you go here. The menu is outstanding and if you're a seafood lover and enjoy the tatse of grilled, seared, broiled, baked or poached fish it's all here.
The sushi is great and for those of you who like raw bars, I recommend the oyster sampler plate. Eight or more oysters on the halfshell nestled in a bed of crushed ice, each oyster a different type and pooled from a different location in the Sound. served with vinegar sauces and hot sauces on the side but eat with alittle lemon to experience the different flavor of each oyster.
very reasonably priced.
Grab a pole...: Indeed, grab a pole and shoot on down to Go Fish.
Incredible service, presentation, as well as cuisine (some of the best seaweed salad I have EVER had)...not to mention resonable prices. Well worth the trip.
