They overpack this place. The bartender at the time was rude and picked favorites to wait on. I'm not a shy guy when it comes to getting a drink and I think I tip quite good. When I stand there and want a drink I expect to wait a bit when it's busy. But when I see the bartender picking his customers based off of whatever he is thinking about I get annoyed. I won't return to Rookies. I figured I'd try and get a table to sit at and avoid the bar. That way I could get some food and have the waiter bring the drinks over. Nope, no chance at getting a booth. People get seated and never leave. They make sure they reserve the booth and the place doesn't put restrictions on it. B.S.

discounted food, drinks and games of pool: My experience at Rookies was a good one. I have been once, I went on Monday, 10/23 and I cannot wait to go back. My bf and I were carded when we went in; from what I've heard, they've been pretty consistent about carding. I think you may have to be 18 to get in, but don't quote me on that. The prices are fairly low, my bf and I split cheese fries. He got 1 1/2 Budweisers and I had a rum and Coke and 2 Malibu Bay Breezes. Plus half a Budweiser. The bartender made my rum and Coke too strong, and my bf had the same complaint during a previous visit to Rookies. The Bay Breezes were awesome though, definitely try those if mixed drinks are your thing. The place is huge, I often desire some peace and quiet when I go out. It was a bar so of course it wasn't completely silent but I had a decent amount of privacy, I could hear my date perfectly. They have 70 TVs, 15 wide screen I think, if the game's on it's a good place to go if you want to socialize or just chill and throw back a few. . .I went around 6pm, on the nights where there is live entertainment, parties and other events, it is much more crowded, I purposely went on a night where it wouldn't be that busy. They have something special going on every night, that night it was Monday Night Football I think and Bud was $2? Can't remember exactly, but they always have discounts and special events. It's open from 11am-12midnight most nights, at least the kitchen stays open that long. Parking is a bitch, but it's free and it's not an obscenely long walk back to your car. You can sit right at the bar or in more private booths, you just sit wherever you want when you come in, and you can shoot pool and play bar games, like Skeeball I think they have. I hope that helped, if you visit there is probably something for you and you will probably have a good time, I can't wait to go back.
