Ballek's Garden Center is a family owned business by Anita, Rich, George, and Nancy Ballek. Their selection is amazing; with so many varieties of perennials, annuals, shrubs, and cut flowers. Their staff is very friendly too. It is nice to see people with such a wealth of knowledge who want to help you every step of the way. I would highly recommend taking a trip down there; it is well worth it!

surprised nobody's written a review, unless
it's because Ballek's is a semi-secret treasure of a nursery, where the friendly and
knowledgeable staff are always welcoming and
willing to assist in any capacity. there are
endless rooms and areas to explore. the
greenhouse is full of not-your-average types
of plants, from exotic succulents and orchids
to fragrant shrubs, vines, and bonsai. a
small side annex contains herbs and cammelias.
outside there are rows of perennials and
shady places to sit and visit with the locals,
that is, the cats who also welcome you to
relax in this rare throwback of a nursery.
on the practical side Ballek's offers all the
supplies and services a gardener could desire, with an encouraging selection of organic choices. the pottery shed is full of
every shape, color, and texture of containers.
we love Ballek's. they've got soul . . .
