Roomba

This WAS a great place. Unfortunately a dispute over parking led to Roomba closing it's doors. The same Chef opened another restaurant nearby called Bespoke. Same menu and great food.

Can't wait until they change: Upon a recent visit, I realized that they haven't changed their restaurant menu in the 7 years they have been open. It really just shows a lack of creativity by the Chef Camacho. A real mojo sauce doesn't come in a gallon container from Goya and isn't melted with tons of butter, as is the prep. at Roomba Rest. The Guatamalan Prawns are a total rip off. They do, however put on a good show, using dry ice and popcorn in preparations. It makes you think for a moment that the restaurant is worth the price....It cleary is not. No matter what time you dine there, they ask you to leave after two hours, regardless of how busy the restaurant is. They are not customer service oriented and the ownership lacks hands on control. There was also a manager there named D.B. who was very rude. Will never return.

Big Surprise: I found this place completely by accident. The restaurant is located in a small niche of an alley in a basement storefront. When you go inside, everything is incredibly themed and very clean. The wait-staff was well trained and very presentable. The dress code is comfortable, but dressy. The menu is not very large but each item is very well thought out. The food was prepared excellently and presentation was top notch. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful for our first time experience. The food is a little pricey. If you haven’t had Cuban food before, you must be a little adventurous to eat here.
