Half Moon Coffee & Grlle Cafe

everyone who has been here likes half moon, but my age group is always present at any given time (20's). some people read the paper while others conduct business lunches or family dinners.
the food is very tasty, not overdone with garlic or cheese, full of flavor and mild spices. i do have a friend who got very sick from seafood here once. but even she is back to dining here and every one else comes back time and again with ZERO complaints. and yes, it's pricey. yes, you wait in line to order, sometimes there's a little confusion due to heavy Italian accents, and yes, it's self-seating. i think it's nice that way, it feels like you are welcome and you don't feel intimidated to order anything more than coffee if that's what you're there for.
The margherita pizza or Mediterranean salads are always a safe bet. they have tuna or salmon over salad which are popular too. i recommend you skip the baked goods - very bland and not home made. the specials are priced a bit high, but where else in Wlfd are you going to find this type of food at an early lunch? or with BYOB on a patio?? exactly.
secret: their CHAI TEAS are excellent! they have several flavors, and you can get em hot, with milk or soy, or frozen... the BEST.

I am a big fan of Half Moon! Great food, friendly service. I meet friends there frequently and enjoy the fact that you go up and order your meal and pay for it individually and not have to worry about splitting a bill! Bring your own beer and wine, how can you go wrong???? Way to go Half Moon!

The worst hot spiced apple cider ever in the creation of man as we know it is served here. Coffee is pretty good. Atmosphere is horrible because when I look around all I see are yuppies that live in the area that look down their noses at you. In fact, the only reason why I'm giving it three stars is because the girls behind the counters are all very attractive. Call me shallow but its true. And you know you agree with me. Pizza is supposed to be great here. I've heard things about it and will post an update once I've had it.
