Sally's Apizza

Company Information: OK, OK, so it is arguable who has the best pizza in New Haven (and maybe the world), but after trying the "sublime" white clam pizza pie, you will have to decide for yourself, or ask former President Clinton, who used to hang out at Sally's as a young Yale law student. The age-old competition between Sally's, Pepe's Pizzeria up the block, and Modern's Apizza has been brutal. So, get in line and see for yourself how "delizioso" Sally's pies can be!

Hours of Operation: Tu-Sa 5pm-10:30pm, Su 5pm-10pm

   really really good - I can not decide between this an pepe's - try them both - you will not be disappointed

   EXECELLANT pizza if you don't mind waiting an hour or more to get it. Its near impossible to reach them by phone.

   I've been going to Sally's for over 30 years and can tell anyone that part of the mystique is waiting in line. Granted, I was fortunate to have the ability to stop or call in ahead to make reservations but also have had to wait 2 hours or more for pizza on a last minute run for pie. I have nothing against Pepe's or Modern but they just don't stand up to the taste of Sally's. I've sinced moved out of New Haven but frequently visit the area for business. I will be there, rain or shine, to visit Flo and the boys, for my slice of heaven. Feel free to email me if you have any questions or comments.
