I absolutely loved all of the fossils of the prehistoric animals and overall the place is amazing. If you can, try to call ahead and see if their are any field trips going through the day you want to go cause little screaming kids can echo through many hallways.
A true gem in the crown of New Haven! Interesting exhibits on tour. Nice natural history section. For the bargain hunter - all you have to do is go to your library card for the peobody museum pass and you'll save a lot!
Still a huge fan...been going to Peabody since I was in the 5th grade...became a teacher and went on many field trips to the Peabody...in recent years when I want to get away...the Peabody is still here for me...the BEST local museum for Natural History EVER!
