Yellow Cab Company

I've used the Waterbury Yellow Cab company several times in the past six months or so to get to work when my rides have waffled on me. I find that their service is a little hack-and-slash, and their drivers are never right on time. You need to make sure you speak clearly when you call, otherwise they'll send your cab to the wrong place in town--Not to mention your grade of service highly depends on the dispatcher who is taking your call.

If you call, and ask for your cab -earlier- than you need to--Or think you need to; you should be okay.

A rude guy answers the phone, has a crapy attitude, talks as if they do not have cabs available

DO NOT USE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET STUCK: I called ahead of time to inquire about the hours that this cab company operates. I was told 24 hours a day. I arrived late at night into the Southbury bus station, then called. After getting a busy signal for the next half hour, I got through. The operator informed me that there were no cabs available. After offering to double the fare, he said to call back "in about five hours" to check on the status. I eventually got a ride from someone else. THIS IS NOT A 24/7 CAB COMPANY, NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY. DO NOT USE THEM!
