Great sushi, friendly service: My husband & I just went to Yoko Hama for the first time - the food is GREAT! We had a lot of stuff to start (edamame, miso soup, salad, negamaki, gyoza) - all really good. We got rolls for our meal - california, sweet potato tempura & dragon rolls. I can't comment on the fish sushi, because we didn't try any of that, but what we did try was delicious. We were really surprised by how great & fresh everything tasted. The service was friendly, & they had what seemed like a good selection of sake (and beer & wine) to choose from - no liquor though. This is NOT a fancy place, but highly recommended if you're looking for a no frills, laid-back, clean place with great-tasting food!
Friendly, attentive service, usually good sushi: We have eaten at Yokohama at least a dozen times in the past few years and have also bought take-out sushi. When the restaurant first opened it was quite good, but our last take-out order smelled fishy. Also, the spicy crab roll is made of imitation crab, not real crab meat. They also put panko bread crumbs in some of their rolls. I'm not sure how authentic that is. I haven't seen that at other Japanese restaurants. If you have a craving for sushi and you don't want to go to NYC, Yokohama is worth trying.
Best sushi around: If you like sushi and know the difference between so-so and great sushi, you will not be disappointed...This place has great sushi!
