User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsof course it feels like a step back in time, it is so old and crusty. Don't ever plan a party there. We had a party there not too long ago, awful service, nothing we had decided on when we talked about it with the owners actually happened. We weren't looking for any deals and we had people here from far. I asked for wine on the tables, nothing, I asked for a plain bowl of pasta for one of my family members, even offered to pay extra for it. When she tried to order it, the nasty waitress gave her a hard time! Then, this party was for a child, and the cake had some sort of liquor in it, though we specifically requested a plain sheet cake. We were in my opinion overcharged...and a tip for the nasty waitress included, which under normal circumstances would be okay, with proper service, but, until I called attention to their rudeness, they were awful. I was embarassed. The worst part? I called the next day, and a few days after that, because the experience was awful, and I wanted to talk to the person that set up the party with me. I left 2 messages, and never got so much as a call back. They dropped the ball big time, and should be embarrassed for their service.

The Venetian is the finest traditional style Italian restaurant in CT. An excellent wine list, every dish is amazing. The price is a bargain compared to other Italian restaurants in CT and NYC.

I had dinner only once and that is enough. The price was ridicolous it cost and arm and a leg to eat there and it;s not worth it
