In the 1970s, dealer sales increased so rapidly that Commercial Sewing began producing snowmobile covers year round. Service to dealers was soon replaced by volume sales to distributors and eventually the original equipment manufacturers. Commercial Sewing was also asked to develop and produce other sewn accessories for snowmobiles, motorcycles; and later ATVs and personal watercraft. Throughout the years, it has engineered and produced many products outside the power sports industry, including: military bags and body armor; airline/train seat covers and fireblock; automotive transportation; tents; handbags; and luggage.
