The food is fresh, the specials are always good and the people who run the place are as nice as can be, without being robot - have-a-nice-day clones.
It is a little more than going to a chain of sandwich shops, but you get a better made, quality product that is always excellent. I do a lot of work in the NW of CT and try to stop here to bring a sandwich with me - it is that good!
I have had the breakfast and lunch, the soups and even brought home entree's to heat up later on for dinner. Wish I could make as good meatballs as they do:)
My only sadness with the place is that they are not open on the weekend:)
I have been going to Serafina's Deli since they first opened in January 1999. Not only do they have the most amazing and tasty soups, but, their original and delicious specials will have you satisfied and wanting to go back for more. The staff is full of fun, love, and great Italian culture. They will make you feel like you are in little Italy. Even if you want something that may not be on the menu, you can ask for a certain sandwich upon request or even suggest something to them. They are very accomodating and friendly. And, since day one, have always served me with a smile. I am truly blessed to have found such a clean, friendly, and "family-like" deli that makes me feel like I am at home. I highly suggest people to go to this deli and experience the great food and sweet family that owns it. God bless Serafina's deli!! See you guys soon for my weekly visit :-)
Their specials are amazing. They don't have them too often, but get the authentic Italain combo on homemade bread. It's rediculous! They also make great soups to warm you up on a cold day.
