$6.00 Corkage fee now in place. And Wow, watch your credit card, and the amount you sign for! Food is expensive for a strip mall atmosphere, good but not fine dining. Corkage fee and a plate fee (for bringing in wine or a Birthday cake) are extra added charges. AND, as I recently found out, if THEY forget to add an item to your bill (like a soda refill), they will arbitrarily increase the charge amount you have authorized on your credit card, to pay themselves AFTERWARD for THEIR mistake. AND this is on top of a generous tip, and in a Birthday situation, where most other restaurants would gladly comp the Birthday boy/girl a free soda refill. When I called to complain, I was told I should have noticed the ommission on the bill. SORRY, I do not count how many sodas my guest has when taking them out for their Bday. I was also told it was "probably too late" to refund the unauthorized charge to my credit card. All in all, this experience leaves a BAD TASTE.
Used to order from Amerigo's all the time. However, the last two times we were given an attitude and they required a deposit on trays, which they refused to pick up afterwards. Said most customers just keep them??
I will never order from them again. There are way too many other Italian restaurants in the area who deserve our business.
Great little family restaurant. Location is in a local strip mall and name implies pizza. But this restaurant features excellent Italian dishes... consistently high quality chicken, veal, pasta, seafood dishes. Calamari appetizer is excellent... grilled instead of the oh so usual breaded deep-fried version. Wine and beer are available on the menu but you can also BYOB (with no corkage fee). As noted in earlier review(s), service is always friendly, even when crowded. Nice ambience. And yes, you can also order pizza, either dine in or take out. Great value.

We're sorry that you're so unhappy, but readers should be aware that you have NEVER been charged a corkage fee. We have comped the fee everytime! The beverage charge in question was $3.00 for two sodas. I don't understand why you would object to paying the correct charge and make an issue over $3.00. You were billed the correct amount but you're unhappy that you didn't get free drinks.
Just MENTION THIS REVIEW (code # AO-K) and we'll subtract $3.00 from any bill greater than $20!
I OBJECT to being charged an EXTRA $3.00 over and above what I signed for AFTER leaving the restaurant and with no notification. If I had paid by cash, would you come to my house and pound on my door for the extra $3.00? It was YOUR mistake, as it will be any future customers who decide to take you up on your bogus AO-K offer.
For clarification, this is not about $3.00, this is about an UNAUTHORIZED charge to my credit card. If you buy a car for $20K and sign paperwork to that effect with a dealer, do you really expect to drive away and find a charge to your account for $21K days later? With the explanation that the dealer made a boo-boo in his calculations, but he decided to submit a charge afterward for the extra $1K to pay himself for HIS error? Just sayin'.
Good luck, readers, with that AO-K discount! Just make sure you pay with cash so they can't zing your credit card for extra charges after you leave!
