Been here about 6 times over the past 10 years, the food is nothing special whatsoever. Italian food that is done better in plenty of places around Stamford.
I think this place is much more about the fact that it has been here so long. People must be reviewing this on the way it used to be. Has NEVER been good. I'm sure the owners are very nice, but that doesn't justify giving this place a good review.
Go to Pasquale's in Port Chester, or even Pomodoro in Riverside.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsGREAT food. Grew up in a household with home made Italian cooking, and this stuff is the real deal. Their sauce (known as "gravy" to Italians) is excellent. That can make or break a dish, no matter how good the rest of the ingredients are. The pizza is to die for. You won't be disappointed !
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsOld school italian American food. Red and white table clothes. Wine by the caraffe. Pizza is great, lasagna is great. Chicken Marsala is great. Go to a steak house if you want a steak. Fried calamari is the best I've ever had.
