User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis is a fantastic restaurant! I just moved to Stamford and have been, through trial and error, searching for my favorite Italian joint. This fits the bill perfectly! I had a calzone with meatballs (only part of it because they are HUGE!) and my fiance had the shrimp scampi, and we shared some bruschetta. Everything was so delicious and obviously very fresh. The prices were fantastic, and they even deliver! Could not be happier that I found this restaurant. Large portions, yummy food, and a small bill. A+++!
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe Best Italian Restaurant in Stamford!!: We have been going to Villa Italia for over 20 years. The food is incredible. In all that time we have never had a bad meal or poor service. Libera and Sal go out of their way to make every customer feel like a long lost friend. The Chicken Scarpiello and Chicken Marsala are terrific. The Penne Vodka and Lasagna are also highly recommended. Incredible Italian food for a very reasonable price. We go on average of twice a month. It has been out favorite place for Christmas Eve Dinner for years.
If there is something special you want that not on the menu, that's not a problem. Sal and the kitchen staff can make anything your heart could desire (as long as they have the ingredients on hand) and the food is so delicious, you will think you've died and gone to heaven.
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsExcellent Food for the value: We love food from Villa Italia. Now, they dress up the tables with formal look of white table cloth for dinner. The restaurant has been re-done and looks good. Plenty of free parking with location inside a shopping strip, so close to downtown! Very tasty fresh food - family owner by two sisters who remember you ! We also ordered take out recently with dishes modified to suit our pallet. The owner was too happy to oblige! Food delivered hot within a few minutes inspite of my 2 mile away.
