Very fond, wonderful memories: I was born and raised in Denville, NJ and my maternal grandmother lived in Bayonne. One of the most wonderful memories I have is when visiting her at her home, she would take us over to Pride Bakery. It was always full of the greatest smells, and their rye bread was to DIE for!!!
Those round, thick loaves were, in my opinion, the best thing about Pride Bakery - and they had a TON of wonderful items for sale! I have never found anything else anywhere that compares to that rye bread.
I urge anyone in the area or even within close driving distance to check out this bakery - and especially that rye bread. You will NOT be disappointed!
