I am so mad, this place has the worst sound system or the worst acoustics that I have ever experienced. Went to see Chris Cornell last night and had to leave after 5 songs. They have the volume turned up so loud that even with a incredible voice like Cornell's all you could hear was the drummers foot. You couldn't make out one word he said. It pounded so hard that it felt like someone was punching you in the head! I think whoever did the sound check had to be totally deaf. A total waste of 50 dollars. Won't be going back to this place again!!!!

It is not the theater that controls the volume or the sound quality of the show. The artist has his own sound man who handles that !! Maybe he should pay more attention to the sound quality.
Wow, I hope they get it right for when I go to see Buddy Guy. That's two comments against the sound system! I am so looking forward to hearing this king of blues in July. I hopw things are right by then.
wow I've seen three shows there and really enjoyed them.... i sat upstairs for cornell and the sound was great -- no problem hearing cornell sing. also saw steely dan, sound was great.
seen a few shows there, including cornell... had no issue hearing him but we were sitting upstairs... also sat on the floor for steely dan, they were great.
I'm going to see Lamb of God on the 22nd. I can't wait!!!!!! I've been waiting for a really long time for Essex County to get some sort of concert hall going. I'm always getting message for friends that live in other states about all the great bands that they see that aren't even bothering to come to this area... I'm really hoping for the best! To many cubs shut down before there time. Time to support the Rock Scene in NJ and give the place a chance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
