Horrible. I had just went to zap with my 2005 Acura mdx which i bought certified used 4 months ago. i go for my first oil change and they tell me some bs that my model only can take full synthetic. and then they tell me that my engine bay is too dirty and it must be cleaned to prevent breaking down. ARE YOU SERIOUS?? if you dont know certified acuras are near flawless. the engine bay was clean expecially seeing as how i didnt drive it much. and they said they will give me a deal for $125 for all the work. are you kidding? i just got the oil change and left.

the following day my wife went into get her oil change and tells her that she needs to get a transmission fluid flush and that her transmission could break down. she freaked out and called me to see what she should do seeing as how they charge $125 fir the flush. I was talking to her on the phone and she was so worried. i told her to blow them off and to not think about it given the experience i had with them earlier. while i was on the phone with her i hear somebody in the backround saying $37 something. she was like wth? she told me that she told them for a regular oil change and they are claiming they gave her full synthetic. first off their full synthetic rate was $49.99 and second their half syntec blend is $39.99 so tell me where did they get $37 something. i told her to refuse to pay and to speak to a manager. if needed be i would have went there. she argued with them for a good 10 minutes and they said "ok ill give it to you for $30" i told her not to once again seeing as how the service she went in for should have only been $22.50 before the taxes. i told her to refuse over and over until the original price is met. and they eventually did.

how ridiculous that in this day and age people still try to rip others off especially women with ridiculous assumptions on the conditions of our vehicles when there is so much information on the web about everything. they think one of three things that we dont have access to the internet, we are illiterate, or that we are just that dumb. to be honest i think that they think we are all of the above. THEY ARE RIP OFFS! GO ELSEWHERE!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Zap Lube should be known as Rip Off Lube.
I went for s simple oil change for my Passat expecting to pay $27.99 less $4 coupon. The first thing I am told is that Passat is different class of car and has a special rate of $37.99 and requires a different oil that will be additional cost. No one had told me that in previous oil changes to date (I have 102,500 miles). A few minutes later, I am called in and told that there is a deposit that requires engine flush for $99.99 and then the coolant gravity check suggests needs for a radiator flush.

I got sold on engine flush with a 15% discount and didn't buy the radiator flush. Upon checkingi find that engine flush isn't necessary for any car, no car manufacturer recommends engine flush, and in some cases engine flush can be harmful.

I am mad at being ripped off. Zap Lube will never have me back again
