I wasn't as impressed with this place as many of my friends. It had a bit of a local following and is near the park-and-ride. I was left with very mixed feelings about the place, as some aspects were very good and others were not so good.
The biggest drawback for me was the price. Fried rice was extra, even with the "Hibachi Dinner" option, rather than the "A la Carte" option. Seemed like a bit of a rip-off. Also, the chef used very little garlic, scallions, and other seasonings during the preparation. Also, preparation was very rushed.
On a positive note, the decor is pleasing. The salad dressing was EXCELLENT, better than at any Japanaese place I have ever been, sushi-only or hibachi. The chef was more skilled with his routine than most other places I have been. Also, the drinks were excellent. They make a great Mai-Tai.
I doubt I would go back, but more because we drive-by another hibachi place to get to this one... and the extra $3.50 for fried rice.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsTHIS IS REALLY THE BEST HIBACHI RESTAURANT in the area. I love Japanese food and as an Argentinean, I love good meat. I tried lots of Japanese restaurant and this is really the absolute BEST. The meat is superb! My kids love the Sushi, and of course, the show the chefs put out (especially "the volcano")
You won't be dissapointed!-

the best!!! we have been goin there at least once a month for 6 years.
the freshiest sushi around. We have tried every hibachi in the area. NOTHING BEATS IZUMI.
