    1. Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) of the Center of Revitalizing Psychiatry has been operating since 2007 in compliance to the State of NJ regulations. According to them a clinical social worker/psychologist can lead the group. Psychiatrists are not required to do this. However twice a week the groups are lead by a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Our psychiatrists do a close supervision of IOP group activities and review all cases in weekly supervision meetings. 2. Our Intensive Outpatient Program has specially designed structure geared towards needs of different patients, such as Psycho Education, Social Rehabilitation, Building Coping Skills, etc. Cognitive Behavioral approach is one of the many other tools we use to achieve the goals of the treatment. 3. Our fees are in accordance with policies of insurance companies and are minimal. We are proud that our Center is among few mental programs that still accept insurance. IOP groups are usually have 10 or less people. 4. Our psychiatrists are not biased toward any medication unless it is better than others in treatment of medical/mental conditions. The medications are prescribed according to medical indications and to minimize side effects and interactions with other medications. Xanax is very addictive medication and is often used illegally as a narcotic. Our psychiatrists are very carefully prescribing it, again only based on medical indications. 5. Pharmaceutical advertisement related objects, such as pens, notepads, clocks, etc. are not distributed any more (in accordance with government regulations). What we have left is from the previous years (brought by representatives of different firms). We do have working lunches from time to time with representatives of pharmaceutical companies , where they brief our staff on new medications, however it is legal and strictly according to government regulations. 6. According to their policies, insurance companies require us to take co-payments and deductibles: forgiving co-payments and deductibles lead to abuse of insurance policies. In rare cases when insurance companies reimburse deductible or co-payments which we charged the patient, we promptly reimburse either patients or insurance company. We encourage all patients to contact us in case they feel that they were billed improperly and we try to resolve the issues as soon as possible. 7. All of our receptionists and medical staff speak English. Many of them bi-lingual (it is true that they also speak Russian, Ukrainian, Hindu, Polish, Lithuanian, Armenian, etc.) 8. Four years in a row (2008 - 2011) we won the Patient Choice award and have excellent feedback and reviews by many of our patients. 9. Our goal is to help our patients to get well and overcome their mental problems. 10. We are proud that hundreds of patients have achieved that goal after attending our Intensive Outpatient Program. Please check our website www.RevitalizingPsychiatry.com to find out more about our Center and services we provide.

When I go for my appointments I feel like I am sometimes talking to the walls because my doctor tunes me out. She is always suspicious of my actions and does not take my considerations at all. As a result, every time I visit, I am spending my copay to talk for 5 mins and get tuned out by my doctor, the director of the clinic, and then listen to her opinion for the other 5 mins. Furthermore, she is apathetic and really does not give.....as long as the money goes into the clinic and you keep visiting they will welcome you every time. She still cannot point out the issues that I have and I have been going here for a while, and even though she might have an idea she still won't tell me. In addition, she knows what works for me and what doesn't and she still gave me something that does not work effectively and makes me feel really slow, tired, weird, and the biggest concern is the fact that I am not myself. I feel like she thinks she knows me so well, and she has the attitude of thinking that she knows me better than I know myself.I am ready to find someone new to see because she does not trust me, and she sends me to the nurse practitioner, who does not know me very well, and she is just as uncooperative as my doctor because "she can only discuss my issues and cannot do anything without the doctor's approval" hence I am wasting another copay to say what I have to say and listen to the nurse and then get sent home.

This place may be able to see you quickly, but I recommend you go elsewhere where the doctors area responsible. My prescription ran out and I lost my new prescription before I could get it filled. I left messages with Dr. Ahmad and he did not return my phone calls or messages for four days.. I have been several days without my Rx and now it is Friday night before Hurricane Irene. It looks like it will be Tuesday or Wednesday before I can get a new script and I am beginning to feel the withdrawal. I have a family that depends on me to be stable and this not only affects me, but also the people that depend on me. I left messages with the front desk and finally the director of the center. No one returned my calls. When I finally spoke to Dr. Ahmad he said "I don't need to listen to this cr@p" and then hung up. This is an exact quote. I should have known that he was a poor choice for my care because when I saw him he would hang his head in his hands and shake his head when I told him my issues. He would also yawn as if he was either bored or tired. He works from 5 pm until closing, so I this must be his second job. I have had all kinds of experiences with doctors over the years and have never had one leave me out to dry like this. If he didn’t want to provide care for me he was obligated to tell me, not just ignore me while my problems become worse as a result of withdrawal. I feel betrayed and abandoned and I truly hope that this doesn't ever happen to anyone else. That is why I am writing this negative review. I will be following up with state review boards to see if I can file an official complaint. I also think the administrative staff dresses inappropriately.
