After taking in a stray cat I thought it would be nice to give some business to the local pet store. I needed worming medicine and I was told by the proprietor the one he carried worked and that's why he carried it. When I went back for more he stocked a different brand stating his source did not carry the other brand any longer. I didn't think too much of it. Most recently when I called and asked if he had another medication in stock that I purchased there regularly I was told yes. When I noticed the box looked different I was told they changed the packaging. I bought the medication and compared it with the last empty one I had. I was shocked to find it was a totally different medication with different ingredients. I will not be going back to this establishment.

I have been buying fish from this store for a number of months and can't be happier with the experience and service. I had the pleasure of meeting Mitch (owner) and he's been absolutely great with providing information and assisting me in my quest for Corydoras cats. He takes the time to find the fish I need and contacts me when they are available. This is a true neighborhood pet store and I recommend it to anyone in the surrounding community.

Most recently I moved to Bergenfield and was looking for a great Pet Shop. I didn't want those big institutes; just a family owned one that I knew I could rely on special request. Walking down Washington Ave I found this nice pet shop with dogs in the window and I just had to see what they had. I met the most recent owner Mitch, of 3+ years who walked me around the pet shop and seemed very competent and knowledgeable on all animal types which are truly rare. I felt really comfortable and right at home. He even took time to discuss the issues I have been having with my fish tanks and had really great suggestions which never happens at Petco or Pet land. I am so excited I found this location and I truly RECOMMEND THIS STORE TO EVERYONE. Ask for Mitch he knows his stuff and can place special orders for all kinds of animals, dogs, fish, birds, reptiles etc...and if he doesn't have a product he will make every effort to track a supplier down to get it in especially for your needs. This is truly customer service and great management!!!!
