I do not usually write these types of letters. But this time I cannot help myself. I work for a University in Philadelphia, PA. My department had been working on a film for about a year. They had hours upon hours of film. Much of which had already been cut and edited to near final product. This is when something terrible went wrong: A crash of the hard drive and a bad backup. Well, actually, It was one of those things where one guy thought the other guy was backing up. Wrong. The school was desperate. Thousands had been spent 100's of hours had been put in by actors and crew. It looked like a total loss. Out of shear hope and no expectations we took the drive to PC Warehouse in Freehold, NJ. Within two days the school had their movie back. Virtually every file recovered. A Year's worth of work saved. The cost was very reasonable. The drive itself was not damaged but rather the chipset that runs the drive. They cleverly replaced the hard drive board and there you have it. They moved the data to a new drive and had it nicely packaged. But, before doing so, sat me down and went through all the data. They were very professional.
