First, let me start by sharing my family and I have no vested interest in giving a positive review, because we have no connection with anyone at the store.

(In fact, I was actually interviewd for a job there once and didn't get it, so some could argue I'd have more reason to give a bad review..)

We moved to the area about three years ago. This healthfood store is about 15 to 20 minutes away.

For a modest size healthfood store they have a GREAT selection!
Their store is neat and orderly, and they have a TRUE variety of healthful products. I have only seen one part of the store messy, and rarely, and that is towards the produce area, because they need to mop, as they seem to constantly be getting fresh produce.
So the fellows are often busy there just making sure it is, and yes it has been, clean.

I can't stress MORE what a GREAT variety of food products this place has! They carry your healthfood brand of cereals, oils, seeds and nuts, and nut butters, as well as green cleaning products, goods to make meals with, vitamins, natural beauty products, most ALL of the great healthfood store brands you know, and Burt's Bees..Aubrey.Jason Dr. H .pretty much everything..

I have met the owner, while I don't know him well, I doubt he has opened a small healthfood store in a suburban neighborhood to make millions!

The staff, a few teenagers, and one older lady, amongst some others, have always been respectful, humble, and helpful, and never pretended to have a knowledge of products when they didn't.

Sometimes the women who answered the phones for vitamins, not the older lady or the very young ones, may have been a bit snippy, but who knows what kind of stress they may have been dealing with.

The fellow at the helm behind the deli is making fabulous, healthy and delicious foods! My Husband and I KNOW, because we ate there recently! Every food they make is yummy and tasty. We won't be snobs and say it's not good..

I won't lie and say their prices are so great. A Denville store may have some prices that are higher. But, hey, with Denville's taxes, they probably need all the help they can get!

In any case, we normally get our basic healthfood items, vitamins, and what not, from our Vitamin Shoppe in Ledgewood, not far from where we live

But, when we have some extra $$ and want to splurge at an all out healthfood store where we can find great whole food products and eat healthy amazing things, we treat our selves to a 10-20 minute trip to Grassroots..And it's a great feeling!

They may not be the cheapest guys around, but for what you can't find at the local Vitamin Shoppe, they're got the goods!

And, in this day and age, more than ever, you've got to give them props for staying open and making health and healthy living a priority!

Whole Foods is great, if you live in Madison, and can't bring the Bentley to pick up the omega 3 pork chops from King's, because the Beemer's underused ;^)

This is a great place to get a healthy, fresh, organic lunch. The grocery section is a bit pricey, but is great for those hard to find items. The staff is friendly, and the chef & deli folks are excellent.
Check-out the vitamine section, for great advice from the woman behind the counter.
Definitely worth the visit!
