The whole wheat pizza is the best. I grew up in Long Valley and have been going here for years. Whenever I go back to Hackettstown I always stop at Mama's. Go to Mama's. By far the best service and the most inviting restaurant in Warren County.I mean were else can you go and get a great meal , Live music , a great menu selection and the service is first class.I had been to Mamas about 10 years ago and when we walked in i was so surprised to see all the changes .Our waitress explained to us that Mamas has been seving Hackettstown for 39 years.That is pretty impressive,you dont make it for 39 years with out doing most things right.We had a party of 8 and they made us feel like family,from the complimentary appetizer to the finish..

We went there a few months back and hated it. My husband's pasta dish came out with no sauce. We sent it back. It came back out a few minutes later (how hard is it to pour sauce on pasta???). Then I discovered a HAIR in my pasta dish. We had to send that back. It came back after more than 10 minutes. The waitress explained that measures were taken to prevent that (hair in food) from happening but that it was something that just happens!! When my food finally arrived I discovered I had no silverware. Had to wait more than 3 minutes for the waitress to come back to request a set from her.
Long story short...
When we got home we were both sicker than a dog. It was horrible. Maybe it was the food or it was the cooks revenge. Either way it was a waste of money. I was 8 months pregnant at the time and it was just wrong to get a pregtnant woman sick like that!!!
Would never return to see if they were just having a bad day.

Cat...I would recommend giving them another try .They really are first class people and they will make good on any mistakes or errors.Why dont you e mail the Mamas and explain what happened , i bet they could make you a believer.I' feel so strongly about this cause i see how the staff and owner runs their establishment and i'm always amazed at the customer service.Hope you have success .Bet
I have eaten there for years and never had that experience. Sounds more like you talked yourself into being sick. Cut some slack. If this had happened repeatedly I would consider it, but I think this is the customer being the issue.
I agree we have been going to Mama's for 10 years and they are first rate.Never had an issue but seems to me if any problem they would be right on top of it.They are one of the few restaurants that offer a Gluten Free menu in the Hackettstown area,my girl friend is in love with them.Hope this is helpfull....Sara.& Jill
