User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWow! I have never eaten such authentic and good Indian Food. I enjoyed the appetizers especially the chicken tikka and the salmon fish was incredible. For dinner we had the lamb curry. The staff were very helpful. I am from British Columbia and was visiting Philadelphia and made it a point to visit Clay Oven in NJ.

This place certainly takes spicy seriously. I ordered my malai kofta spicy and it didn't disappoint. What was a little disappointing is that they were a bit slow with the water refills. When you order something spicy, you'll need plenty of water (or at least I do). If you like your Indian food super-hot, you'll like this place. My husband had the lamb curry mild, and he said it was good as well.
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsClay Oven is a clean and well run little Indian Restaurant. The food is fresh, hot and very tasty. The prices have gone up slightly in the last six months but the quality of the food has not changed.
