Just went today food was excellent, my main reason, for only two stars I ordered their prix fixe menu and asked for the pumpkin soup inplace of the cauliflower, my request was met with an abrupt NO!
My second reason I had not finnished my entrée which was roasted prok on a bed of creamy polenta with garlic roasted brussel sprouts, now that I'm home I discovered the waiter just placed the pork in foil and threw away my polenta & brussel sprouts. I'm very upset and II left such a great tip, if I had only known.
Superb, sublime service and food. I've been there a dozen times and it never never misses a beat! The bread is always fresh and assorted, to me that's the intro to the meal. Try the bisquits, warm and fresh. Great tasting menu and wine, The desserts are art in themselves, each flavor distinct. It's better than any NYC restaurant thats twice the price. My favorite French food besides Paris! I eat out a lot and this is # 1 in the NY area. Flawless service too. Hats off to the owner. No low rung help of dubious origin in the kitchen here, all pro.I'll make my reservation this week.
The Best...: It is my favorite restaurant bar none. I've never had better food or seamless service from the wonderful bread offerings to the tasting menus's this place is a gem!
