    I had dinner there several times, the last time being approx. 4 years ago. Each time I found the sushi to be tasteless at best, and less than fresh but always decided to give Nagano another try since I do like to support local restaurants. Well, I tried them again last night, and unfortunately the sushi was even worse than my prior experiences - not fresh, unimaginative, tasteless and just plain bad. I would suggest Yuki Hana in nearby Madison.

    It is a little light on ambiance, but the sushi was fresh and inventive and the service was solicitous and efficient. Our saki was handled with care, and the meal was timed in an appropriate way.

    good food, but feels like eating in school cafeteria, after a long hike up steep stairs. Very Japanese I suppose since the conditions are similar to Japanese eaterys....but the service truly leaves something to be desired. they threw things at us, kept us waiting and with 4 children and 3 adults they demanded a 20% tip....
