One of the best places I have eaten at period. Deep fried lobster pieces & broiled crab cakes have become my favorites. Prices seem a bit high, but this is a BOYB place, so they don't make the profit off alcohol like other places, so if you like wine / beer with dinner, it works out in the end. Bottom line ... when I'm looking for a good place to eat on LBI ... Howard's is my first choice.

French Fried Lobster A Must!: The french fried lobster is reason enough to eat at Howards Restaurant. It is a huge portion of lobster meat deep fried to a golden brown and served with melted butter. My husband and I are big eaters and we could not finish our portion. The pie I ordered for dessert was completely homemade as well. Outstanding food. Not for a family on a budget. Like most of LBI's better quality restaurants, Howards is a little on the expensive side. But, well worth it! My husband and I will be going back to Howards again this year in August. A little hint: You MUST get there at 4:50pm and wait for the doors to open at 5:00pm in order to get served right away. It fills up fast and there is always a very long line to get in. They do not take reservations. It is first come-first served. They do give you a 10% discount if you are there at 5:00pm.
