User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI have been to Makoto Japanese Steak House twice and both times it was great. The food was very good - I went with a group of adults and children. We reserved the hibachi table. It was entertaining for all, and the children especially enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly and professional. Reasonably priced as well. So all round a winner.

We've had sushi up and down the east coast. Makoto is hands down in the top one or two sushi spots! Incredibly fresh, and by far the best selection we've seen. The hibachi is just as good.

What a great find in Manahawkin...in December! High quality sushi and nice specials. Fun atmosphere and great food all around. We were visiting from Seattle, where Sushi restaurants abound & Makoto held up with what we're used to. Tonight we're going back for the habachi grill...
