I highly recommend this butcher to anyone in the Phila. area. It is worth the ride. Their meat just seems fresher for some reason. Can't tell ya why, it just does. The prices are comparable to other butchers. I usually get a nice $30 filet, cut to order. It's a world class meal. Feeds 8 easily. If you want to impress your company, this is the place to go. They make their own sausage, too and a smoked keilbasa that is out of this world. The store is always spotless and the employees are a pleasure and always have a tip or two for people who aren't meat savvy. They do have some down time in the Summer and around Christmas, so call ahead to make sure they're open. All in all, I give Ellis Meats 5 stars because I couldn't find a sixth.
